About the Artists
Amanda Lim
Amanda is a multi-disciplinary artist concerned with pushing the boundaries of traditional craft and sculpture using experimental means. Her art practice spans ceramics, glass, textiles and digital media, often exploring issues of identity and anxieties as part of the human condition. In her double life she is a seasoned chorister, having performed for two-thirds of her life and most of it competitively. Her theatre credits include an amateur production of Alan Ayckbourn’s musical Awaking Beauty as sound engineer, graphics and set designer. She is currently completing her Masters in Art at UNSW Art & Design.
Sasha Mishkin
Sasha Mishkin is a Sydney-based emerging artist working across photography and installation. Originally from New York City, she is currently a Master of Arts candidate at UNSW Art & Design. Mishkin’s topical practice reflects on social reality and explores notions of identity as performance. Mishkin has exhibited in New York City, Massachusetts, Havana, Cuba and Sydney. She recently displayed works in Dislocation at Kudos Gallery and is working towards an exhibition at Gaffa Gallery in early November.
